So many of us suffer from lower back pain, and it doesn’t seem to get any better. In fact, some people are dealing with chronic pain for months, even years and their back is still in pain. That is sad and frustrating.
We often forget that our back is a body part and that when it is injured, we should be thinking about what we can do to help ourselves. Now, I’m not saying that you need to go out and get surgery or chiropractic treatment; however, you do need to start a back routine and plan that will help you in the future, should something happen to your back.
There are a few simple things that you can do that can help you relieve pain. For instance, did you know that you can strengthen your lower back muscles? If you just did some light stretching exercises, they can help prevent future pain. It’s that simple.
Arthritis is another common problem that you should think about. It can take up to twenty-four hours before you feel the effects of a flare-up, but if you make yourself go through all of that pain every day, how much better would it make it? If you start having difficulty standing up after doing some exercises, don’t just sit back and hope for the best. Go and do something!
You may want to look into some brace techniques to help support your lower back. For instance, there are wedge braces that will help to support your back as you lean forward, and there are also Z brace exercises that will help to support your back as you lift weights.
Or, maybe you’ve always wanted to go to the hot tub or the pool. Did you know that swimming can really help you relax? Do you know that it helps to improve blood circulation to your back?
Relaxing is a great way to relieve tension and improve your overall health. If you’re like me, you can’t get a full night of sleep without a good night’s rest. Regular exercise can also help, by giving you an opportunity to unwind after a stressful day.
Of course, no matter what exercise you choose, you will need to start slow and don’t rush into it. Start by going a day or two with no exercise, and work your way up from there.
Remember, it’s okay to not be able to run as fast as you used to. Your body is trying to tell you that it needs time to rest, so start slow and let your body get used to the new speed.
Another possible cause of lower back pain is Multiple Sclerosis. These days, the treatment options are pretty much the same as the medications; chemotherapy drugs. However, the newer treatments have shown positive results and may eventually be curative in the long run.
We have lots of different reasons why someone may be suffering from lower back pain. With these simple exercises and a little patience, you can be on your way to living a pain-free.
